Radio Access Test Engineer

On behalf of our customer we are searching for a Radio Access Test Engineer. The candidate must be a well educated and innovative engineer to support the verification team. This position requires a deep knowledge of how the mobile is expected to behave in the network in all existing radio access technologies according to 3GPP. It also requires a good understanding of how today´s mobile networks are built and configured. Furthermore, it takes a systematic approach and determination as well as an eye for good quality, always having the operator and end-users in mind.

Responsibilities:

*) To support the project in IMS area
*) To Write test specifications and test instructions for our areas of responsibility
*) Participating in planning of test sessions
*) Executing the test sessions, analyze and following up on issues
*) To work with simulated environment, live environment, and will work close with design teams, Network Vendors, platform vendors, and Operators
*) Driving long term quality work by continuously improving the test method, test suite, documentation and processes
*) Intercontinental travel, to the extent of 3-6 weeks during a 6 month period

Requirements:

*) At least 5 years working experience within mobile communication
*) Good knowledge in relevant 3GPP specs is a MUST, GERAN, UTRAN,LTE, MediaTek and/or Qualcomm
*) Good understanding of IP and knowledge in IMS is considered as a plus
*) Good knowledge working with Android, Linux and Windows.
*) Working methodically and efficiently in tracing errors and finding bugs, working closely with the developer team and HW team
*) Good communication skills and a great team player, (Teamwork and building relationship)
*) Strong interest in finding faults and to chase the solution for them
